ORGANIZER AND STUDENT LEADERSHIP

The Special Panel is co-chaired by Hao Yan '09 and Yoon Sun Kim '10, also Co-Presidents of the Stanford East Asia Society, a newly founded student organization committed to promoting interests in East Asian studies within the Stanford community. The program proposal is shaped by the collective wisdom of the academic community in East Asian Studies at Stanford through various discussions and meetings with professors, visiting scholars, and students of diverse ethnic and disciplinary backgrounds. We also appreciate the involvement of Yun Liang '10, Enoch Kang '10, and Hin Leung '08. Special thanks is given to Shelly Xueting Ni, who designed our amazing event poster (image file).

"Nanking 1937-2007" is a student-initiated and faculty-directed collaborative project. The idea of the conference is shaped by the collective wisdom of individuals of diverse backgrounds but a common interest in promoting the constructive development of Sino-Japanese relations.
